Rules On Regs
The Governor gets involved in regulating coal: Gov. Phil Bredesen’s administration on Tuesday proposed legislation that would ban coal mining within 100 feet of streams and in areas where acid drainage could enter a watershed. The proposal came in the form of an amendment attached to HB2300 in the House Environment Subcommittee, which then approved the measure unanimously.
